“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white
horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His
eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew,
but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the
armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his
mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth
the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11-16)

I really don’t know how to improve on that, not that
I’ve been trying to improve on God’s Word in any of these studies. It’s just that in this passage it is
so clear what is going to happen. Jesus will finally return, not as a babe in a manger, not as an traveling preacher, but
as King of kings and Lord of lords. Look at the way Jesus is referred to. He is called, “Faithful and True”, has
a name written on Him that no one but He Himself knows, His name is called “The Word of God”, and of course He
is called “King of kings and Lord of lords”. Is there any doubt who this is? Can anyone possibly mistake this
Messiah? The fact of the matter is that many will already be serving one they believe to be the Messiah. The anti-Christ also
comes on a white horse, but he “went for conquering and to conquer.” And the world is going to call him a man
                                    of peace?

One thing we need to remember is that Satan tries to mimic
everything that God does. You name it, the serpent has a counterfeit. This time, however, he will not get away with it. His
mask will be torn off before the entire world. His followers will be vanquished by the mere word of the Lord. Satan will be
cast into the abyss. Think of the most glorious king, the mightiest king, in reality or mythology or legend. I tell you this
by the power of the Holy Spirit. Not one of them can come close to the majesty, the power, the glory, the magnificence of
Jesus, the King of all kings. I am moved, when watching “The Lord of the Rings” when Aragorn returns to Gondor
and sets up his kingdom. Yet Aragorn, although a “type” of Christ, was only a weak shadow of the Christ who is
to return as our King. Jesus has already passed through death unto life. He has been victorious over the enemy by the blood
He shed on the cross and the resurrection from the dead. Even so, He shall return with glory and honor and power that cannot
possibly be recorded by man. Even in Revelation 19, as seen above, our words cannot adequately describe this glorious return.
It cannot describe the joy that shall fill the hearts of the people of God, nor the dread of those who have opposed Him.

This you must learn and know that Jesus WILL return as He
                                    promised. “And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, ‘Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.’” (Acts 1:10, 11) Did you realize
that Jesus was standing upon the Mount of Olives when He ascended into the clouds and these angels delivered this message?
Zechariah 14:4 says of this, “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before
Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and
there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the
                                    south.”

No only is Jesus really going to return, but He is going
to return very soon. Many people scoff at this and say, “That’s what they said in the Bible.” And that is
true, but God has delayed for our benefit, that we might enter in and be partakers of the riches of His glory. He has delayed
that we might receive His mercy, otherwise we would have fallen under His wrath in that great day. Even so, if they, who by
the power of the Holy Spirit, said the time was near, even at the door, nearly 2000 years ago, how much closer is that “near”
now? Many have seen it coming and wait eagerly for His return. It is even as John recorded in Revelation 22:20 saying, “He
which testifieth these things saith, ‘Surely I come quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

When He returns, will He already be your King, or will you
be forced to serve Him? As it is written, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10, 11) Will you be forced to your knees by the weight
of His glory or by the honor of your Savior?
